Step-by-Step Guide

Employee check-in

  1. Open Attend on mobile or desktop (/attend).
  2. Scan QR code or use the configured check-in method for your site.
  3. Confirm check-in timestamp displays correctly.

Display QR for a location

  1. Open Attend → Display (/attend/display) on a kiosk or reception screen.
  2. Employees scan from their devices to record attendance.

Review attendance dashboard (HR)

  1. Open Attend → ManageDashboard tab.
  2. View lateness, early leave, OT (with approval status), Sunday/public holiday hours, paid and unpaid leave.
  3. Use search and status filters.
  4. Export CSV for offline analysis.
  5. Records older than 72 hours may be highlighted for follow-up.

Confirm monthly attendance (workflow)

  1. Open Manage → Workflow tab.
  2. Step 1 — Confirm month: lock the period and sync unpaid leave from Leave module.
  3. Step 2 — Adjust: managers inline-edit OT, unpaid leave, Sunday, or public holiday hours; save posts to /hr/attendance.
  4. Step 3 — Approve OT: approve overtime per employee; mark workflow complete.
  5. Workflow actions are audited for compliance review.

MOM rules configuration

  1. Open Manage → Rules tab.
  2. Review work-week, grace minutes, deduction strategy, OT rates, and Sunday multipliers.
  3. Settings read/write the same /hr/payroll-policy-config as Pay (single source of truth).
  4. Deviations from MOM defaults show real-time warnings.
  5. Use deep links to Pay for full policy settings if needed.

Attendance analysis preview

  1. Open Manage → Analysis tab.
  2. Inspect hourly rate, OT base (Part IV thresholds), weekday OT (≥1.5×), Sunday premium, and lateness deductions step by step.
  3. Use as a pre-payroll transparency view — final payroll still flows through Pay engine.

Weekly roster (A/B teams)

  1. Open Manage → Roster tab.
  2. Maintain weekly A/B roster assignments as configured for your organisation.

FAQ

Q: Does Attend automatically change payroll without review?
A: Attendance feeds policy-driven calculations, but HR should complete the Workflow confirmation before payroll cut-off. Phase A management UI is a transparency and control layer before Pay finalisation.

Q: Where are terminal devices configured?
A: System administration → Attendance terminals (/system/attendance-terminals).

Q: Can I edit lateness after check-in?
A: Authorised roles can adjust values in the Workflow step with audit trail.

Q: How does unpaid leave sync to payroll?
A: Confirming the month can pull unpaid leave into attendance totals, which map to pay items such as UNPAID_LEAVE. Align with your payroll administrator.

Q: What is the 72-hour highlight?
A: A compliance flag for records requiring timely confirmation or approval.
