Getting Started — Login & Authentication

Overview

MeritHRMS uses work email and password authentication. After sign-in, your session grants access to modules according to your role templates and organisation assignments.

Key concepts:

  • Work email — global login name across the group (must be unique).
  • Legal entity — the company whose data you are viewing; switchable after login.
  • Quick demo — available on some trial hosts so prospects can explore without provisioning.

Default landing route after login is Talent → Directory (/talent/employees), unless your access profile routes you to Merit Me only.

Step-by-Step Guide

Standard login

  1. Navigate to your workspace login page (/login).
  2. Enter your work email and password.
  3. Click Sign in.
  4. If multi-factor authentication (MFA) is enabled for your organisation, complete the verification step.
  5. You arrive at the default home module (usually Talent Directory).

Quick demo (trial / sales sites)

  1. On the login page, locate Quick demo.
  2. Select a demo identity (for example A Company payroll preparer).
  3. Explore modules without a dedicated provisioned account.
  4. Demo data may reset periodically; do not use demo for production payroll.

Switch organisation

  1. Click the account button (top right).
  2. Choose another legal entity from the list.
  3. Confirm the sidebar title reflects the selected company.
  4. Repeat when moving between subsidiaries in a group.

Log out

  1. Open the account menu (top right).
  2. Select Log out.
  3. Close the browser tab on shared computers.

First-time password change

  1. If prompted after login, enter a new password meeting your organisation policy.
  2. In Merit Me, use Force change password when required by admin policy.

FAQ

Q: I forgot my password. What should I do?
A: Contact your organisation Owner or administrator. They can reset your password under System administration → Users & seats.

Q: Can one person access multiple companies?
A: Yes. The Owner assigns organisation membership on the Permissions page. You still use one work email.

Q: Why does my colleague see different menu items?
A: Access is controlled by role templates and deny overrides, not by job title alone.

Q: Is SSO supported?
A: Enterprise deployments may integrate SSO via your implementation project. Use the login method your consultant configured.

Q: Account suspended — what now?
A: Suspension freezes the global login. Contact support via Adneti Client Support (ACS) or support@telibiz.com with your organisation name.
